Computational (Eco)Toxicologist and/or Exposure Modeller (Brussels based)
In this position, you will utilize your computational toxicology and/or exposure modelling skills in context of our safety and regulatory compliance projects with clients from the various industries we support. You will work collaboratively with our team of experienced human health and environmental specialists and contribute to the growth of our service offer in the field of new approach or next generation risk assessment methodologies. We are seeking a flexible, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual. Candidates should be able to drive the work independently, understand the nature of a service-oriented consulting firm and be interested in contributing to business development.
Your Profile
- You have a university degree (preferably a PhD) in fields such as Computational Toxicology, Computational or Medicinal Chemistry, Exposure or Environmental Health Science, Toxicology or Pharmacology, with a strong computational and chemistry background
- You have at least 3-5 years relevant professional experience in computational modelling (e.g., (Q)SAR, PBPK, analogue identification) and/or demonstrated skills relevant to quantitative human and environmental exposure estimation gained in the chemical and/or consumer products industry or in scientific consulting to these industry sectors
- You have experience and/or interest to learn regulatory risk assessment processes and related disciplines critical to providing assurance of safety for chemical, consumer and pharmaceutical products
- Evidence of a creative, problem-solving, ‘can-do’ mindset
- You have excellent oral and written English communication skills
- You have a working permit for the European Union
If you have one or multiple of the following skills, let us know. It’s an added plus but not essential:
- Familiarity with exposure models required by the EU REACH, Biocides and/or Cosmetics Product Regulations
- Understanding of European Union REACH and REACH-like programs/regulations
